刘  群， 男，1964年出生江苏省南京市， 自幼爱画画、雕刻、小学、中学、高中在习画，雕刻中渡过。 1985年  考取南京艺术学院美术系，主攻雕塑、壁画专业。 1988年  获刘海粟奖学金。 1989年  南艺本科毕业，获文学学士学位。 1988年  合作壁画参加全国美展。 1988年  参加江苏南京晒太阳画展。 1989年  多幅作品被江苏省美术馆收藏。 1992年  至今创立刘群艺术工作室。 创作日记性主题油画：“悟道”、“斗鸡”、“破门”等。 1999年  参加深圳市首届雕塑展。 2000年  创办丑石博物馆。 2004年  获深圳市文化艺术专家称号及专家委员会委员。 2004年 深圳宝安举办个人雕塑、绘画展。 2005年 深圳蛇口举办个人雕塑、绘画展。 2008年  入选法国卢浮宫画展获特别奖。 Liu Qun was born in the year 1964 in Nanjing at  the Jiangsu Province. He enjoys painting and sculpting since young, and had been spending a lot of time on practicing during his school days. In 1985, he was admitted to the Art Faculty of Nanjing College where he majored in Sculpting and Fresco. In 1988, he was awarded the Liu Haisu Scholarship and soon after he graduated with a bachelor degree in 1989. During the pursuit of his bachelor degree, his fresco piece was chosen to be exhibited in the National Art Exhibition. He had also attended Nanjing Basking Paint Show and several of his works became the collections of Jiangsu Art Gallery. His studio,"Liu Qun Art Studio"was established in 1992 and since then he had created many spectacular pieces such as "Pondering Tao","Cockfight"and"Broken Door"from the collections of the "Journal of Oil Paints". Liu Qun continued to work on and in 1999, he participated in the Shenzhen Sculpture Exhibition, In the year 2000, he founded Choushi Museum and was awarded"Shenzhen Art Specialist"four years later. He was then appointed to be an honorable member of the committtee for Professional/Expertise Artist. Liu Qun had his personal sculpture and paints exhibition in the same year.
